Firefighters called to deliberate fire in Crawley Down

Firefighters were called to a deliberate fire in Crawley Down yesterday evening (Tuesday November 10).

A crew from East Grinstead attended the fire in a stables off Turners Hill Road at around 10.30pm.

A spokesman for the fire service said a small amount of hay was set alight and one hose reel was used to extinguish the flames.

The spokesman added the fire is being treated as deliberate.
