Firefighters lift woman out of car after Crawley crash

Fire crews, paramedics and police were called after a car crashed in Crawley.

Emergency services were called to the collision in Ashdown Drive, Tilgate, at 4.50pm on Monday (March 28).

A spokeswoman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the crews were called after a woman was trapped in the car after it collided with road furniture.

Firefighters used hydraulic gear to free her but were later able to lift her out of the vehicle, said the spokeswoman.

She was left with paramedics.

Firefighters made the scene safe before leaving it with Sussex Police at 5.35pm.
