New signing Simon Walton says his move to Crawley Town presents an ‘exciting challenge’.
The experienced midfielder signed a two-year contact today ahead of the club’s campaign back in League Two.
He has made 284 appearances in an 11-year career and has good knowledge of the division next season.
The 27-year-old moved from Hartlepool to Stevenage last season and scored five times in 33 games.
Walton said: “It’s great to at the club and I am really looking forward to working with Mark Yates.
“League Two is tough but Mark and I know the division well and he has got some exciting plans in terms of the players he wants to bring in and the way he wants to play.
“It’s an exciting challenge at this stage of my career and one I am really looking forward too.”
After starting his career at Leeds he moved to Charlton, QPR and then Plymouth as well as having a number of loan clubs.
