Former rector of Ashington killed in crash
A FORMER rector of Ashington, the Rev John Michael Walker (76) was killed when his Peugeot was in collision with a lorry on the A282 Steyning bypass on Thursday.
The accident happened at about 11am when the Rev Walker, who lived in Horsham Road, Steyning, had to be cut from the wreckage, but died at the scene.
The driver of the lorry was a 50 year old Crowborough man who was treated for shock.
