Four hurt in seafront crash

A 20-YEAR-OLD man from Newhaven suffered serious head injuries when his Ford Sierra car crashed into a garden wall in Marine Parade, Seaford.

He was flown by helicopter to the Eastbourne District General Hospital for treatment.

Three passengers, two 18 year-old-men and a 20-year-old woman, were also taken to hospital by ambulance. One was believed to have suffered a broken jaw. Firefighters from Seaford were called but not required to cut the occupants from the car.

No other vehicle was involved in the crash, which happened at the west end of Marine Parade at 11.30pm on Friday. The road was closed until 2.15am.
