People have been invited to a ‘fun and action packed’ open day at Crawley Fire Station.
Firefighters will be on hand to explain their work, equipment and give safety advice at the station in Ifield Avenue, Langley Green, on Saturday (August 22).
Crawley Crew Manager James McGrath, who is organising the day, said: “We are really looking forward to welcoming our partners and the public to the fire station.
“It’s an opportunity for us to meet people in a more informal setting and give them an insight into how broad the role of the fire service is.
“Helping people in Crawley stay safe at home and on the road is the driving force for the day, but we’ll make sure that everyone who comes has a fun and action packed day.”
Police and ambulance services will attend.
The day, which will run from 11am to 4pm, will include: firefighting and road traffic collision displays; a police dog demonstration; modern and vintage 999 appliances; charity stalls; a bouncy castle and beat the goalie game; refreshments.
Admission will be free.
