The Independent Arrivals Review made 23 recommendations and yesterday (March 31) Gatwick Airport Ltd said it accepted them all.

A statement from CAGNE chair Sally Pavey said: “We hope that Gatwick will consider the point that the review ignored the residents that already suffer true concentration on departures in Sussex below 4,000ft.

“One of the recommendations is to subject these residents to arrivals as well, and when the wind permits subject them to arrivals that would have historically gone to the east.

“We welcome many of the recommendations made by the review team but feel the misery that departures inflicts has been missed by the review team.”
