Get festive at tree festival in Felpham

An array of Christmas trees will help visitors to Felpham's parish church get into a festive mood.

St Mary's Church is holding a Christmas tree festival on December 6 and 7.

Trees will be decorated by Blackbirds Playgroup, Bishop Tufnell Junior School, Felpham and Middleton Horticultural Society, Bondwood Tea Rooms as well as the church bell ringers, choir and other groups to present a cheering sight.

The junior school choir will perform in the Felpham Road church on the first afternoon. This will be followed by an evening performance of A Night of Miracles by the church choir.

The church will be open between 10am and 6pm on the first day and from midday until 6pm on the second, with the annual Christingle service at 4pm.

Proceeds are to be divided between the Chestnut Tree House children's hospice and the church.

A further element of the packed weekend will be the church's Christmas fair in the neighbouring St Mary's Centre from 11am until 3pm on December 6.
