Going for gold to helpChestnut Tree House

CHILDREN and staff at Chestnut Tree House glammed up in gold outfits and accessories last week, to launch a brand new fundraising initiative '“ Go Gold for Chestnut Tree House.Â

Go Gold is part of the hospice’s Chestnut’s Challenge appeal, and the aim is to raise funds and awareness across Sussex. Chestnut Tree House is currently caring for just over 200 children and young people but, sadly, for every child currently being cared for by the hospice there is another child somewhere in Sussex who is not yet receiving this care due to lack of funding.

The aim of the Chestnut’s Challenge campaign is for Chestnut Tree House to be able to care for every life-limited child in Sussex.

Everyone likes an excuse to dress up, so hospice fundraisers are asking local people - individuals, companies, schools, clubs and groups - to organise their own Go Gold for Chestnut Tree House fundraising event.

It is as simple as getting everyone at work or school to wear something gold for a day - a jumper, scarf or even something silly like a gold wig - and to make a donation for Chestnut Tree House (suggested donation £2).
The suggested date is Friday 19 November – but you could Go Gold at any time during November – and the fundraising team has lots of great ideas to get you started. Contact them today for your free fundraising pack on 01903 871820 or email [email protected].
