Great support for fund raising events

Joseph was diagnosed with cancer two years ago but after a year of treatment by the fantastic team at the Royal Marsden Hospital, he has now been clear at three successive check-ups.
Jo’s Nana Pip and Grandpa Richard Eagleton organised a coffee morning at Bexhill Sailing Club on Friday February 26, with a cake sale as well, and a quiz and fun evening, also at Bexhill Sailing Cub, on Saturday February 27.

Hide AdRichard is also in training for the London Marathon on April 24.
Richard said: “It was a fantastically successful weekend. We are so grateful to our friends who came and helped us, and everyone who came and supported the cause. Over 150 people came to the coffee morning, and the quiz evening was sold out. Everyone who came enjoyed the event.
“We are especially grateful to the local businesses who supported us with donations for prizes, including Beauty Direct, Betts and Lloyd, Cheese and Delicatessen, Coffee In Style, Edge Hairdresser, Freedom Leisure, Kitchen Supplies, La Collina Gardens, La Loba, Mini Bertha’s, Trattoria Italiana and Warfords.”
Richard said that donations continue to arrive for his London Marathon bid, which can be supported at www.justgiving.com/Richard-Eagleton1/.

Hide AdRichard said: “All proceeds go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
“The team has already had some wonderful support, and the hope is that the Royal Marsden can do the same for more children like Joseph, so that more families can have smiles and not tears.”
The Royal Marsden is a world-leading cancer centre which pioneers new treatments that save lives.
It cares for around 50,000 cancer patients each year at hospitals in Sutton and London. Last year the charity raised £21 million last year to fund pioneering work in cancer research, diagnosis.
