Crawley Town Hall users can have their say on the refurbishment of the 50-year-old building.
Along with the expense of maintaining an older building, the current layout and size no longer suits Crawley Borough Council, which has fewer staff than it did in the past.
Small alterations have already been made but it is felt more work is needed and a final decision is set for late 2015 following consultation with staff and the public. Some possible options include addressing the distribution of staff to make better use of the space and lease part of the building. The council is also keen to find out how people use the public areas and gather suggestions on how these could be improved. Andrew Skudder, Cabinet member for Customer and Corporate Services, said: “I’d urge anyone who uses the Town Hall to take part in this consultation.”
The survey runs until June 8. Visit www.crawley.gov.uk
