A meeting of the Governing Body for NHS Crawley Clinical Commissioning Group is set to discuss its plans for 2015/16.

The commissioning plan looks at how the CCG will work to provide the best health care possible within the available funding.

NHS Crawley CCG Chair, Alan Kennedy, said: “Our role as a clinical commissioning group is to improve the health and wellbeing for people who live in the area.

“Our CCG plans, buys and monitors care for local people including hospital services such as ambulance care, maternity, accident and emergency, community hospitals, as well as prescriptions for medicines issued by GPs and health professionals.

“It also commissions services for people with learning difficulties, packages for people with continuing health care needs and funded nursing care for people in nursing homes.”

The Governing Body will be covering the latest performance of A&E hospitals, community based care, ambulance services and nursing home care. It will also hear a report from the Commissioning Patient Reference Group whose members are drawn from the public to ensure that patients’ views are properly represented in the CCG’s work.

The meeting will take place in public on February 19 from 2pm-5pm, at The Hawth.

All meeting papers will be on the CCG’s website at:
