CROSS IN HAND FETE: The fete is tomorrow, Saturday, at the Hardy Roberts Playing Field (Rugby Club) between 1pm and 5pm. We have a fun dog show, Marco, Uncle Bumble, falconry plus a variety of stalls, Burgers, hot dogs, teas and cake. There is also Bake Off with U16 cupcakes, adults sponge both decorated to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday. Cross in Hand C of E primary school will be the main recipient of profits.

FLOWER FESTIVAL: At St Giles Church Dallington. The theme is Life’s Journey from August 5 to 7. Open daily from 10am to 5pm. Refreshments and stalls. Today, Friday, 7.30pm Quiz at the Old School. Tickets £5 (up to six in a team). Light refreshments, bring your own drinks. Tomorrow, Saturday, at 6pm bring your own picnic in the churchyard or if the weather is poor, in church. This will be followed at 7.30pm with a Variety Concert in church. Donations towards the flower festival would be gratefully received. Sunday, 5.30pm Songs of Praise to close the festival.
