Horror in park as remote controlled car breaks woman's leg

Police are investigating after a woman suffered a broken leg when she was involved in a collision with a remote controlled vehicle in a horror incident in Burgess Hill on Monday.

The woman was taking part in an exercise session at St John’s Park, Burgess Hill, with the fitness group Ultimate Outdoor Training when she was struck by the vehicle.

A police spokesman said: “Police were called to St John’s Park on London Road at 8.05pm to a report a woman had been hit several times by a remote control vehicle.
