Ice and accident slows A23 traffic

The road is congested in both directions at Bolney, reports said at about 8am today (January 12).

Police warned drivers after vehicles spinning and skidding on black ice in minor roads leading to the A23 at were reported at 7am.

A spokesman said: “We would urge drivers to take extra care on the roads this morning as some minor country roads appear to be icy in some places.

“Even if you do not need to clear ice from your car this morning please be aware that where you are travelling to may be icy.”
