Injured boy, 14, airlifted to hospital
A 14-YEAR-OLD boy was airlifted to hospital after he fell from a rope swing near the Peacehaven Golf Course.
Golfers called an ambulance at around midday on Sunday when the boy was spotted lying beneath a tree, complaining of pain in his right shoulder and back.
However, paramedics who arrived in a four-wheel drive vehicle decided against moving the boy over the muddy woodland.
Instead, he was taken by helicopter to the Eastbourne District General Hospital.
His injuries were not believed to be serious.
