Injured scaffold worker rescued from second floor

Emergency services rescued a scaffold worker after he injured his back working on the second floor.

Firefighters and paramedics were called to a building site in Old Brighton Road North, Pease Pottage, at 2.06pm on Monday (September 21).

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the man injured his back while working on second floor scaffolding.

An ambulance crew stabilised him and firefighters lifted him to safety.

The worker was left in the care of paramedics at 2.51pm.

South East Coast Ambulance Service’s Hazardous Response Team, two Crawley and one Brighton fire crew and an aerial ladder platform fire crew from Brighton attended.
