Inquest opens into Bognor stabbing

The inquest into the death of a woman who was stabbed to death in Bognor has been opened and adjourned.

West Sussex coroner Penelope Schofield said police and paramedics were called to Normanton Avenue, in Bognor, on July 29 after reports of a woman being attacked.

Cassandra Hasanovic was taken to St Richard's Hospital, but she died later the same day.

A post-mortem examination revealed death was by a stab wound to the chest. Mrs Hasanovic (24) was mother to two boys.

Hajrudin Hasanovic (32) has been charged with her murder.
