Following the success of previous recruitment and roadshow events, The Rye Partnership is working with local businesses and organisations, to host another event in Rye.

Several local employers will be attending - Jempson’s, Bluebird Care, Chapman’s of Rye, Education First Language Travel and Pontins Camber sands.

Application forms will be available to complete on the day, with some employers offering a light touch interview or the opportunity to discuss the job vacancies.

The Rye Partnership rural employability project has been linking work and training roadshow events with local businesses, which to date include Jempson’s, The Gallivant Hotel, Pontins and Family Mosaic.

The Roadshow invites local people who are interested in work and training opportunities, to come along and improve their employment prospects.

Information and advice will be available on the day from organisations including the Jobcentre Plus rural advisors, National Careers Service, HARC benefit advisors, Sussex Coast College for Apprenticeships, Rother Voluntary Action volunteer hub and The Rye Partnership Community Learning and adult learning support.

The rural employability project aims to bring much needed local work club services and employment focussed training, to the rural area and promote local recruitment. The project is funded by the Department for Work and Pensions flexible support fund.

A previous recruitment event at Pontins attracted large numbers.

For more information about the Rural Employability Project or the Roadshow events, contact Flora Williams [email protected] 01797 229600, or call in to Tilling Green Community Centre on 5th May between 1-4pm.
