King Offa pupils help Pudsey

A huge Pudsey Bear was drawn out on the floor of King Offa Primary School then pupils filled it with money.

Around 320 children took part in the unusual fundraising activity and by the end of the day Pudsey was worth 226.

Bursar Barbara Morris said: "We have been doing this for two or three years - it is the easy way to raise money. Each class visited Pudsey and put money down, and they saw it competed towards the end of the day - they all came back to have a look.

"I think we did really well."

Bexhill MP Greg Barker visited the school for the event, having previously attended its 100th birthday celebrations.
