Firefighters were called after a person spilled ‘20 to 30 litres’ of fuel on to a garage forecourt.

Crawley firefighters left for the Sainsbury’s garage in Crawley Avenue at 1.27pm today (Monday July 13).

Crew Manager Justin Bomyer said: “I think a customer had by accident poured a load of fuel over the forecourt.”

The garage was closed for around half an hour while firefighters washed the fuel away into tanks.
