Littlehampton hit by spate of cycle thefts

Police are investigating a spate of cycle thefts in the Littlehampton area in the run-up to Christmas.

On Tuesday, December 18, a Cube make cycle was stolen between 3.30 and 3.50pm in Fitzalan Road. The bike was locked to itself, but nothing else, so could be carried away. It has a white logo on black/grey frame, 21-speed gears, a front mudguard only and a black saddle.

The following day a Kona Blast cycle was taken from a bike rack in High Street between 5.10 and 6.30pm after its lock was cut off. It has a black frame, 18 gears and rear mudguard.

Between 9pm on December 20 and 6.45am the next day, a garage was broken into in Cornwall Gardens and a GT cycle, with white and red frame, 27 gears, thin black saddle, white front and rear mudguard, was stolen.

During the same night another garage was broken into in nearby Arundel Road and a Commencal Meta cycle was taken. It has a black frame, 27 gears, no mudguards and disc brakes front and rear.

A house in Queen Street was entered by forcing the front door between December 18 and 22.Items stolen included an old green mountain bike.
