Littlehampton man on murder charge

A Littlehampton man has appeared at Slough Magistrates' Court, accused of murder.

Benjamin David George Frankum, 25, of Arundel Road, Littlehampton, has been charged with the murder of Daniel Quelch, 33, a father-of-three, of Spencers Wood, Reading.

Mr Quelch's body was found at an address at Cherry Garden Lane, Maidenhead, shortly after 7.15am on Thursady. It is belived that he was staying with his mother while his father and two older brothers were away on a fishing holiday in Canada.

A post-mortem examination showed Mr Quelch, who was a builder who worked with his father, died of multiple stab wounds.

Mr Quelch's two eldest children, aged five and eight, are believed to have been in the house at the time of the murder.

Mr Frankum appeared at Slough Magistrates' Court on Friday, and was remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Reading Crown Court on Monday.
