LITTLEHAVEN BODY UPDATE: Man’s body found by young boy

A man’s body was found near Littlehaven station by a young boy this morning (November 26), police have said

Officers were called to a foot crossing near a play area in Amberley Close, Horsham, at around 8.45 this morning.

Inspector Baynes, of the British Transport Police, said: “We had a report from a young boy early this morning of a body on the track.

“I can confirm we have got a deceased male.

“An investigation is going on to find out who he is and let his next of kin know.

“We are treating this as an unexplained incident.”

She added police believed he had been there for several hours.

The BTP has since confirmed the body is a 22-year-old man from Horsham.

Train services were cancelled between Horsham and Three Bridges due to the incident.

Trains have started to run again between the two stations but Southern Rail say disruption is likely to continue until around 1pm.
