Live Lounge comedy
An Edinburgh Festival comedy preview evening is among the highlights of the Steyning Live Lounge season.
Lucy Porter, Bridget Christie and compere Stephen Carlin are the performers on Saturday, June 4.
Spokeswoman Sue Shaw said: “Come and enjoy one of the Festival’s most popular annual events – a chance to hear three award-winning comedians perform their new material.”
Stephen Carlin started performing stand-up comedy in 2002 and has performed in the UK, Ireland, Canada and the USA.
He has written and performed two solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, recently supported Stewart Lee and Stephen Merchant on their national tours and appeared in Stewart Lee Presents The Ten Best Stand-ups in the World Ever.
Bridget Christie is a regular on the sketch and stand-up circuit, performing as both herself and A Ant, the circuit’s top ant comedian. Her 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 Edinburgh shows have been comedy picks in the Metro, The Guardian, The Times, The Stage, The Scotsman and Scotsgay
Since 2001, Lucy Porter has been a hit with audiences up and down the country with her distinctive, bouncy, feel-good comedy. She is a regular festival performer including Edinburgh, Manchester, Glasgow and the prestigious Kilkenny festival.
Lucy is a regular face and voice on TV and radio panel shows. Last year she emerged victorious in Celebrity Mastermind Champion, breaking records by achieving the highest-ever celebrity score.
