This month writer/director Adam Stephen Kelly completed his short film ‘Done In’ which stars Guy Henry of Harry Potter and Holby City fame.

Shot over two days in January at Nash Manor, just outside Cardiff, the ambitious project cost £6,000 to make, much of which was raised in campaigns on Sponsume.com and Kickstarter.com.

“From script to screen it has taken 17 months to complete - it’s been quite a journey,” said Adam.

Starring Guy Henry, who had a regular spot on Holby City as Henrik Hanssen, the 54-year-old plays a man who writes an eloquent suicide note to say farewell to the world, but Adam warns audiences to expect a ‘shocker’.

“He gives an impeccable performance in the film. I had seen him in Holby City and he plays quite a stuck up character and it clouded my view of what he was going to be like. In person he’s so relaxed and very friendly.”

Produced by horror director S. J. Evans (Dead of the Nite), Adam became friends with the BAFTA member after reviewing one of his films.

Now ready to be screened at festivals, Adam hopes that ‘Done In’ will open up more doors in the industry.

“I’ve got quite high ambitions and the film has had a great response from people. already”
