Lurgashall Fete set to take place this June

Lurgashall's village green will again be the venue for the annual fete.

The Lurgashall Fete is set to take place on Saturday, June 3.

For children there will be kids’ corner packed full of entertainment. Katie and David, childrens’ entertainers, will be hosting shows through the afternoon, and there will be bouncy castles galore, childrens’ races and a childrens’ tug of war. There will also be the Liphook Model Engineering Society’s model railway to ride.

Fete visitors will also be able to browse a wide range of traditional fete stalls included a well stocked plant stall, while elephant stall, produce stall, book stall or they can bid for one of dozens of items in the Silent Auction tent or try their luck on the bottle tombola or in the champagne auction.

There will be a barbecue, teas served form the cricket pavilion, Pimms tens and beer tend to ensure fete goers won’t go hungry. The famous Lurgashall dog races provide another attraction during the afternoon.

All proceeds from the event go to Lurgashall village societies and good causes including the village hall, church, recreation association, cricket club and horticultural society.
