The M23 will close for road improvement works between Gatwick Airport and the M25.
Diversions will be in place when the southbound carriageway shuts between 10pm and 4am from today (Wednesday April 13) until next Tuesday (April 19), said a Gatwick spokesman.
Motorists have been advised to use Junction 6 (Godstone) to access Gatwick during the works.
Works on the northbound carriageway are planned during the same hours between April 20 until April 23.
Emma Rees, Gatwick’s Head of Surface Transport said: “Motorists travelling to Gatwick late in the evening or in the early hours should check before they travel and allow additional time to get to the airport.
“Gatwick has worked closely with Highways England to ensure that these works take place during our quietest period of the day, however passengers should check before travelling and plan accordingly.”
