Making homes warmer is prioritywhen Citizen's Advice holds AGM

It takes place from 4.30pm - 6pm at the Magnet Centre adjacent to Advice and Community Hub, Renaissance House, London Road, St Leonards and local people are invited to come along.
Tracy Dighton, Chief Officer at Citizens Advice 1066, said, “Our mission is to empower local people to deal with their issues such as debts, benefit, housing and employment problems.

Hide Ad“A focus this year is acting on our belief that everyone has the right to a warm home.
“Making Hastings and Rother homes warmer and healthier is a big team effort across many organisations such as Seaview, Energise Sussex Coast and Hastings Borough Council.
“I hope people will find their way to one of local energy clinics.”
An Energy Advice stall will be running at the AGM. People can bring their energy bill for a free energy price check by our trained advisers.

Hide AdMarc Turczanski Citizens Advice 1066 Trustee Chairman will report on the CA1066 performance for 2015 – 2016.
Tracy Dighton Citizens Advice 1066 Chief Officer will present plans for the future, while Richard Watson OBE of Energise Sussex Coast will be a guest speaker.
Citizens Advice 1066 staff and volunteers will be available to explain the services provided.
Citizens Advice 1066 is an independent charity offering local residents information and advice on some of the most pressing issues they face today, including debt, benefit entitlement, housing, employment, consumer, immigration and relationship problems.

Hide AdThe service is confidential, impartial and free of charge, delivering advice, providing education and campaigning.
They are based at the Advice and Community Hub in St Leonards with Brighton Housing Trust and Hastings Advice and Representation Centre. Last year alone Citizens Advice 1066 helped 4,870 people across Hastings and Rother to find solutions to over 17,000 problems.
