Millard was due to appear for trial at Lewes Crown Court on April 18.

He was released on court bail after he appeared at Crawley Magistrates on November 4 2015.

Investigator Lucy Hailes said; “Anyone learning of this or similar cases can always speak to police for advice and assistance. You can contact Sussex Police via [email protected] call 101, and arrange to speak in confidence to experienced detectives, quoting serial 247 of 21/01.

“The alleged offences have no connection whatsoever with a current club, or anyone working there, which is being operated on the same site as the previous Crawley Boys Club, which closed many years ago.”
