Man arrested after £6,000 of cannabis seized from van

A man was arrested after police seized £6,000 worth of cannabis from a van in Horsham.

Police said officers were on routine patrol on Sunday (May 22) when a Renault Trafic van was stopped on the A264 at Holbrook for having no insurance.

The car was stopped at 5.10pm.

A police spokesman said a large amount of cannabis was seized, believed to be worth around £6,000. The driver also tested positive for drug-driving.

Police said a 30-year-old man from Crawley was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs and driving while unfit through drugs. He has been bailed until July 29 while investigations continue.
