Man arrested after assault in Bognor Regis

A 31-year-old man has been arrested and charged with causing grevious bodily harm after police were called to a disturbance at a house in Bognor Regis on Wednesday, January 19.

Police were called to a seafront flat at Connaught House on the Esplanade at 7.40am after neighbours of the female victim heard shouting.

The woman, aged 32, was found in her flat with injuries to her head and arms.

She was taken to St Richard’s Hospital and stayed overnight.

Kristian Smith, who lives in a separate flat in Connaught House, was charged appeared in custody at Chichester Magistrate Court yesterday, Thursday, January 20.

He was remanded in custody until April 7.

Police
