Man flown to hospital after coming off motocross bike in Copthorne

A man was flown to hospital after falling off a motocross bike in Copthorne on Saturday (March 5).

The man, aged in his 30s, was the passenger on the bike in a field off Copthorne Way.

Emergency services including the air ambulance, paramedics and a Hazardous Area Response Team were called when he came off the bike shortly after 10.50am.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service said he suffered a potential back injury.

He was treated at the scene before being airlifted to East Surrey Hospital.
