Man found dead in Ifield identified

The body of a man found in Ifield yesterday has been formally identified by police.

He was 49-year-old Joseph Maloney of Friston Walk, Ifield, Sussex Police say.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. A post mortem is due to be carried out on Friday August 21.

Mr Maloney was found hanging in wasteland near Overdene Drive, Ifield, just before 2pm on Wednesday August 19.
