Man knocked unconscious and jaw broken in Crawley attack


A man was knocked unconscious and his jaw broken in a Crawley attack.

The 19-year-old Crawley man was walking with friends along Friary Way, near to the junction with Station Way and the entrance to County Mall, around 3.20am on Saturday January 17 when he was assaulted.

He was punched and knocked unconscious, suffering a broken jaw.

Detective Constable Chris Mills said: “After Moka nightclub on Station Way closed around 3am there was a large group of people who were in the bus station area in Friary Way who might have witnessed the assault.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call 101 or email quoting serial 0763 of 18/1. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
