Man suffers fractured eye socket in ‘nasty’ Crawley pub attack


Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was punched in the face at a pub in Crawley.

The 50-year-old victim was struck by another man at The Imperial in Broadfield Barton at about 7pm on February 8.

The victim suffered a cut eye and a fractured eye socket.

The attacker was described as white and in his early to mid thirties. He was wearing a navy blue hooded jacket with white drawstrings.

Detective Constable Jo Fraser said: “This was a nasty, unprovoked attack that has left the victim with a serious injury to his eye.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in The Imperial on 8 February or who has any information about what happened.”
