Crawley based Avensys has donated over £600 worth of GoPro kit to the Endurance Limits Ocean Racing team, to support their challenge to take part in the Great Pacific Race 2016.
Avensys Ltd is a leading Audio-Visual specialist in the South East based in Manor Royal. One of the charities being supported by the Endurance Limits team is Matthew’s Friends, which has been Avensys’ chosen charity for more than ten years.
Matthew’s Friends is deidcated to providing research, grants, training and support to develop the ketogenic diet used to treat people with neurological conditions including drug-resistant epilepsy, some brain cancers and metabolic disorders. The high fat, low carbohydrate diet is medically recognised to help these conditions in some patients. It can even be life-changing.
Avensys has supported the charity through charity events, fundraising and working on a variety of fundraising activities, from hosting in-store cokking evenings to managing the charity’s annual fundraising ball. The firm has been proud to see the charity grow and into the successful organisation it is today.
Markus Wood, managing director said: “Our relationship with Matthew’s Friends has given us the opportunity to demonstrate our corporate responsibility within the community and we’ve had some great times with everyone involved.
“We especially loved having Matthew, his Mum Emma and charity patron Tony Tobin open our retail store in September 2014.
“We’re delighted to help support the Endurance Limits Ocean Rowing Team in the Great Pacific Race 2016 with a GoPro camera and every accessory they could need, from battery packs to dive housing – we wish them the very best of British and will be watching their progress with much interest.”
