Missing Crawley holidaymaker found

A Portuguese national who went missing while on holiday in Crawley has been found safe and well, police have said.

Portuguese national Jose Santos was reported missing on Wednesday (August 10).

Police said the 56-year-old, who speaks no English, was spotted by a member of the public, who recognised him from a Sussex Police media appeal, in Ferring at 12.25pm today (Friday August 12).

A police spokesman said: “It is unknown how Jose managed to travel to Ferring, however he is being reunited with his family in Crawley.”
