Much to celebrate at Worth School

There was much to celebrate at Worth School on GCSE results day as more than 50% of all grades were at A* or A and 77% were at A* to B.

Particular congratulations went to Gurdip Ahluwalia, Olivia Wilson, Natalie Riley, Alex D’Amario, Barnaby Elwes, Sarena Bhargava, Madeleine Chamberlain and George Townsend, whose results were all at A* and A. Between the eight of them they achieved an impressive 80 A* grades.

Mrs Lynch, deputy head teacher, said: “We are delighted with these GCSE results, which are a real tribute to the determination and perseverance of our Year 11 students. In addition to the success of our boys, these results are the first set of GCSE results from girls who joined Worth in Year 7. They achieved very highly and are true ambassadors for academic excellence at Worth.”

Head master Gino Carminati said: “I am delighted for the students and the staff who taught them. It is the result of hard work by all concerned.”
