A 12-year-old photographer and artist has been blogging about her passion for wildlife.
Mya Bambrick, from Broadfield, started posting her photographs and drawings of the outdoors last November to document and share her experiences and love of wildlife.
Mya, who started taking photographs aged eight, has posted on her website, My World Of Wildlife, 40 times.
She said: “I like the challenge of seeing different birds and increasing my knowledge of them.
“I’ve loved it ever since I can remember.
“I would like to inspire other children my age to go out there and explore it themselves because it’s just an amazing thing - once you start watching you don’t want to stop.”
Mya attends Thomas Bennett Community College and hopes to become a professional wildlife photographer or conservationist for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
She said the blog had received around 900 views and her friends and family were proud of her for starting it.
She was inspired by BBC wildlife television shows and joined three conservation groups aged ten.
Mya and her mother Kerry visit Tilgate Park, Warnham Nature Reserve and other areas in Sussex on the weekends and holidays.
Her favourite bird is the Osprey, a large bird of prey, which she had seen in Warnham.
