Table Sale: Northiam Nursery and Beckley preschool are holding a Table Sale in Beckley Village Centre on Sunday 10am – noon. There will be a variety of items on sale, so have a rummage and bag a bargain! Entry is free, and there will be refreshments on sale.

Budgerigar Society: The next meeting of the Budgerigar Society will be on Monday at 7pm in the Jenkins Room.

Streetstyle Dance: The youngsters are catered for on Tuesdays in the Pretious Sports hall, with Streetstyle Dance at 6pm and 7pm. If you have any budding dancers interested, please call Beth on 07890 764995.

Coffee Stop: Meet up with familiar faces at Coffee Stop each Wednesday in the Church Centre between 10am and 12 noon.

Lace Group: The Lace Group meets in the Jenkins Room on Wednesday at 2pm.

Seniors’ Club: All pensioners are welcome to the Club which meets each Thursday in Northiam Village Hall. There is always plenty to do and chat about, and whilst everyone arrives about 10.30, there is tea and coffee and the chance to take a look at the bring and buy stall, or the bring and win raffle. After extend chair exercises to improve mobility, members are served a two course home-cooked lunch followed by the week’s entertainment – this week, it’s a film. All for £7! If you would like to join, or know someone who would, please contact Jane (252973) or Linda (252283) who can also arrange for transport if necessary.

Coffee Morning: The Village Hall monthly Coffee Morning will have an Easter theme this time, with a special raffle next Friday (27th) 9.30-11.30am.

Spring Show: At last! We can shake of the threat of winter as we celebrate with the Horticultural Society’s Spring Show on Saturday 28th March. Do take a look in the schedule (available online or call Lesley Kennedy 252096) and see if there is something you would like to enter. It can be as simple as a daffodil from the garden or as complicated as a piece of embroidery. You may have a lovely photograph to share, or prefer to bake a coconut cake. In short, there’s something for everyone, so please do take part and enjoy being part of a lively village tradition. It only costs 20p to enter each class and there are prizes waiting to be won!

Choral Concert: We are fortunate to have a visiting choir coming to the village on Palm Sunday. Tongswood Chamber Choir will perform Allegri’s Miserere and other choral treasures for Passiontide on Sunday 29th March in St Mary’s Church. Tickets are £10, or £20 to include a supper after the concert from www.ticketsource.co.uk.

Golf Day: A 9 hole Golf Morning will be held at London Beach Golf Club on Saturday 25th April. The day will start with a bacon roll and coffee before the tee-off at 10am. Lunch will follow the golf. The cost is £25, with all proceeds going to St Mary’s Church. If you are interested in joining in, please contact Jonathan King – 07702 777892.

Chitiwiri: In May, there will be another collection to raise money for the projects that we support in Chitiwiri, Malawi. If you have any unwanted clothes, pairs of shoes, curtains, bed linen, bags, belts or perfume and would like to help Sally and Richard Bickersteth raise money for the community of Chitiwiri, please put them in tied bin liners or call at Forge House for green bags.

Quiz: Following the excellent Quiz organised by the Bowls Club last Saturday, quizzers will be pleased to know that there is another quiz to put in the diary – the Bonfire Society will be holding one on Saturday 9th May.
