Northiam Village Voice

- We start the week with a cheering message from Jean Brown: I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has answered my request for help in knitting hats for the troops.

The response has been tremendous. To date I have 75 + hats ready to go and I know there are still some more in the pipe line.

I have also had many generous donations towards the cost of the wool.

It isn’t possible to thank individuals, but I must make a special mention of Donna who runs the hairdressing salon in Beckley “Donna Jayne”.

She has persuaded so many of her clients, friends and neighbours to join in, that they have produced and financed about half of the total number. Many, many thanks.

- The village Coffee Morning Market will be held today in Northiam Village Hall between 9am and 12 noon.

Stalls include jewellery, cards, ceramics, cheese, meats, jams, vegetables, plants, furniture, candles and wooden items, so worth a visit for a browse and a chat over refreshments.
