The rhythm of life

The children love making noise and getting creative when they come to Chestnut Tree House.

Last August, we had a fantastic samba performance and workshop run by Adam Gellibrand and his talented samba band.

We have now been very fortunate to receive four funded drumming sessions. Tutor Adam, who runs a variety of fully-inclusive drum and beat workshops, is providing our children and siblings with a great opportunity to explore and create music through drumming.

The sessions are sensory, stimulating and great fun for all our Chestnut drummers, including the nurses who always like to have a go too.

Adam visited Chestnut Tree House three times last week and the children had so much fun – the whole house was filled with sound – maybe we should start our own band!

We can’t wait for our next session.

There’s always something fun going on at Chestnut Tree House, so make sure you like our Facebook page to see photos from some of the activities we hold in the house, and visit our website.
