LETTER: Exceptional care service

My aunt was a resident in this home for nearly five years until her recent death.

With all members of her family living some distance away and unable to visit regularly, we had to rely on Hillside’s wonderful Team Leaders and Support Workers to ensure my aunt felt safe and enjoyed her life at Hillside.

The love, care and support they continuously offered to her throughout her stay was clear for all to see. My aunt loved them and they loved her.

In addition, family members were equally well-treated. We were welcomed when we visited and offered tea or coffee as soon as we arrived.

As I lived the closest, the staff phoned me with any concerns or questions and kept me fully informed of any changes in my aunt’s health.

Through her entire stay, I believe my aunt was treated courteously and kindly by all staff members, including the kitchen staff and the cleaners.

To have this level of commitment to care throughout the home is very special and deserves recognition.

I am certainly very grateful for finding such a care home for my elderly aunt.
