Enjoyable activities for school’s Challenge Day

Pupils and teachers at The Forest School experienced many rich and enjoyable learning activities during our 3rd Challenge Day of the current school year.

The day is full of new and exciting activities for the boys to accomplish or experience. Trips were arranged to visit the Natural History Museum in London and an art exhibition in Chichester. There were workshops helping the boys understand important issues such as testicular cancer and teenage pregnancy and workshops learning to play steel drums.

One of the many highlights of the day was the creation of a large kinetic sculpture with 100 year 8 pupils, ten staff a visiting artist from Same Sky, one of our regular supporters.

There are five challenge days spread out across each year with the 5th being sports day in July. The regular timetable is suspended to allow day long workshops or multiple sessions across all year groups, with some activities taking place off site.

The feedback from our pupils is always positive as they feel engaged and connected to the activities and this is just another example of why boys learn best at The Forest School.
