If we're talking £1m, spend it on town centre

THE proposed World's Longest Bench would not bring people into Littlehampton.

A few more students of architecture may visit the seafront and make use of the new East Beach Caf, but how will this help the town centre?

The 1m, if available, should be spent on the town centre, with a good, wide pedestrian link with mature trees to Pier Road.

Maybe our town councillors could suggest a central feature that would be in keeping with the future image of our town?

In the short term, free parking would encourage shoppers to the town centre.
