It’s a wrap for garden centre

For some people half the fun of Christmas is giving presents to loved ones, but for others the thought of having to beautifully wrap an extensive pile of gifts can bring on feelings of dread!

However, help is at hand from Broadbridge Heath based Newbridge Nurseries, as they are hosting two very special Christmas wrapping demonstrations for customers, with the first taking place on Tuesday 3 December at 2pm until 3pm.

Gift wrapping expert and Billingshurst resident Harriette Conroy will be at the garden centre to show customers how to properly wrap gifts, from choosing the correct paper to decorating with ribbons and adornments, making bagged gifts look pretty and how to wrap tricky shaped objects.

Harriette will also return to Newbridge Nurseries on Thursday 5 December from 11am to 12pm to host another Christmas wrapping demonstration for those unable to make the event on Tuesday 3 December.

The demonstrations are free to attend and Harriette will be on hand to answer gift-wrapping related questions.

For those who would rather their Christmas presents were wrapped on their behalf, Newbridge Nurseries is also hosting a charity gift wrapping service on Saturday 14 December from 10am to 5pm, to raise funds for Midhurst based charity Angels International, which helps supply medical aid and promotes education and training for local doctors, nurses and health workers in Malawi, Africa. Customers can have their Christmas presents expertly wrapped, with prices starting at £2 per gift.

Nigel Wait, managing director of Newbridge Nurseries said: “Christmas is of course a time for giving, but a lot of the joy in receiving gifts is the way in which they are presented.

“That’s why we’re offering our customers the chance to learn some new gift wrapping skills at our informal and fun demonstrations – at Newbridge we like to do things properly.

“We look forward to welcome Harriette to the garden centre on Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 December.”
