Late autumn colour at Petworth House and Park that inspired JMW Turner
The landscape and light at Petworth House and Park inspired JMW Turner – Britain’s greatest landscape painter – to capture this Capability Brown parkland many times.
The estate, now in the care of the National Trust, was the home of Turner’s patron, the 3rd Earl of Egremont.
