Our sympathy and condolences goes to the families of the victims of these attacks. As with the atrocities in Westminster and Manchester, we condemn wholeheartedly these cowardly and barbaric acts in the name of our religion. Islam gives the message of humanity, compassion and peace. We will not allow these terrorist acts to destroy our way of life. This is a holy month of Ramadan and Islam teaches us to be more generous to mankind and give more to needy and not so fortunate people, do and support more charitable work. To this end we at Broadfield Mosque are raising funds every night since Ramadan began for charities working in Burma, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Syria and the fundraising will continue to the end of Ramadan. We are hoping to raise about £20,000 for different charities. In addition, during the month of Ramadan some Muslim Brothers are distributing food in the evening (starting at 7pm till food lasts) at Church Walk, conjunction with High Street, Crawley, on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday to homeless and needy people, this will continue throughout the Holy month of Ramadan.
