LETTER: Humbled at Crawley service

I was honoured and humbled to attend the Drumhead Service in the Memorial Gardens in Crawley.

The event was a multifaith service with time to remember the sacrifice given by the soldiers who died during the campaign.

The Royal British Legion Crawley District ensured the service and act of remberance by the Mayor and Mayoress of Crawley went without an hitch on the morning.

Let us during these crazy times after the referendum take a step back and remember the fallen and recite the words:

‘For our today they gave their tomorrow.’
